Kindergarten Wars Anime Casts Tetsu Inada as Gordon
The staff for the television anime adaptation of Yu Chiba's Kindergarten Wars manga announced on Thursday that Tetsu Inada will voice the character Gordon, the vice-principal and school nurse at the school. The anime is set to premiere in Japan in spring 2027. Inada joins a previously announced cast that includes Atsumi Tanezaki as Rita, Kentaro Kumagai as Doug, Hitomi Ohwada as Hana, Satoshi Hino as Luke, and Mariya Ise as Silvia. Shinsuke Gomi is directing the anime at Sunrise and Felix Film, with Junko Yamanaka designing the characters. The manga launched on Shueisha's Shonen Jump+ app and website in September 2022 and has 17 compiled volumes in Japan as of April 2026. Yen Press publishes the series in English physically and digitally, while Shueisha's MANGA Plus platform offers digital chapters. The manga entered its final arc in March 2025 and has over 2 million copies in circulation. A spinoff manga focused on the character Luke launched in November 2024.
