Bethesda Names The Elder Scrolls VI: Sentinel In 40th Anniversary Video
Bethesda Softworks named its long-in-development role-playing game The Elder Scrolls VI: Sentinel, closing a video posted on November 3, 2026 that looks back on 40 years of Bethesda Game Studios. Todd Howard, who leads the Fallout and The Elder Scrolls series, narrates that retrospective. The teaser shows a scroll rising out of sand and carries an inscription attributed to the silk-worm monks who serve High Queen Iradne of Hammerfell, and the passage reads: "The scroll offered only a shimmer, a veil thinly lifted to my eyes. A future lost. A victory undone. Sands of time scattered by fate." It is dated 4E 206, which places the game five years after The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and its 4E 201 opening, and points toward Hammerfell, the Redguard homeland in western Tamriel around the Alik'r Desert. No release date or supported platforms were announced.
