The Eternal Fool's Words of Wisdom Anime Reveals Teaser, Cast, Staff, January 2027 Debut
The television anime adaptation of Hifumi's light novel series The Eternal Fool's Words of Wisdom has received its first teaser trailer, main cast and staff announcements, and a January 2027 premiere window. Toshiyuki Toyonaga will voice the immortal mage Asley, and Yoko Hikasa will voice his canine familiar Pochi. Keisuke Onishi is directing at Studio Elle, with Kurasumi Sunayama handling series scripts and Yumiko Mizuno on character designs. Yuri Habuka is composing the music at Lantis. Crunchyroll confirmed at Japan Expo 2026 that it will stream the series outside Japan, covering North America, Central and South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, the CIS, and the Indian subcontinent. The original light novel series ran from 2015 to 2019 across 14 volumes, and the manga adaptation has 13 volumes. J-Novel Club releases the English version of the manga under the title The Eternal Fool's Words of Wisdom: A Pawsitively Fantastic Adventure.
