Trigger to Screen Complete The Lenticulars a/b in Theaters
Studio Trigger announced a limited theatrical release of the complete version of its YouTube-original experimental anime The Lenticulars. The film, titled The Lenticulars a/b Complete Edition, combines the previously released eight-episode "a/" segment with the previously unreleased eight-episode "/b" segment. The story follows a boy named Rakukun who grows closer to his classmate Sawaki after borrowing her work gloves, then recalls a rumor that she had a boyfriend in middle school. Director Akira Amemiya, known for the SSSS.GRIDMAN series, helms the project. The theatrical run will take place at UPLINK Kichijoji in Tokyo from April 25 to April 30, 2026. A special screening with a talk event featuring Amemiya and MC KawaD will be held on April 24. Tickets for the talk event go on sale to UPLINK members on April 13 and to the general public on April 14. Regular screening tickets are priced at 2,000 yen for general admission and 1,800 yen for UPLINK members.
