The Matrix is present in Medicom Toy's product line through a MAFEX Neo action figure, displayed publicly for the first time at the company's 30th anniversary exhibition in July 2026. The figure is priced at 14,080 yen and scheduled for release in July 2027.
Medicom Toy opened its 30th anniversary exhibition at Space O in Omotesando Hills, Tokyo, on July 25, 2026, and ran it through July 30. Admission was free. The MAFEX line's first public display of a Neo action figure from The Matrix happened there, among new entries based on Batman, Superman, Spider-Man, and Star Wars characters. The exhibition also included BE@RBRICK, UDF, and sofubi figures, with some items display-only or already sold out.
Two months later, Medicom confirmed the Neo figure as a MAFEX release. It stands about 16 cm and includes three swappable heads: one with sunglasses, one with sunglasses and gritted teeth, and one without sunglasses. The cloth coat has wire framing. Weapons from the film are included, along with bullet trajectory effect parts and a stand for the bullet-dodging lean-back scene. It is priced at 14,080 yen and scheduled for release in July 2027.
Across the two stories, the throughline is Medicom moving Neo from an exhibition display to a dated, priced product. The July exhibition showed the figure without release details; the September announcement supplied the price, the scheduled month, and the accessory list. What remains unsettled is the broader Matrix presence in the line: no other Matrix characters or products are mentioned in either story.
