The Moon On A Rainy Night Anime Unveils Cast And 2027 Premiere

The television anime of Kuzushiro's The Moon on a Rainy Night manga released its first full promotional video on Wednesday, and the video names the main cast and additional staff. Iori Saeki plays Saki Kindaichi and Sora Amamiya plays Kanon Oikawa. The anime is slated to premiere in 2027. Tomoe Makino directs at CompTown, Shogo Yasukawa handles series composition and scripts, Ayumi Nishibata designs the characters, and jizue composes the music. The newly listed staff include Seung Deok Kim and Tsutomu Tomoyuki as assistant directors, Haruko Nobori as color key artist, Mai Ichioka as art director, Atsushi Sato as compositing director of photography, Masahiro Goto as editor, and Nobuyuki Abe as sound director. CompTown president Masao Yamamura is credited as animation producer. Kodansha USA licensed the manga, which Kuzushiro launched on Kodansha's Comic Days website in June 2021.

The Moon on a Rainy Night Anime Set for 2027

REMOW announced at its Anime NYC panel that the television anime of Kuzushiro's The Moon on a Rainy Night manga is coming in 2027. Tomoe Makino directs at CompTown, Shogo Yasukawa writes and oversees the series scripts, and Ayumi Nishibata designs the characters. The story follows Saki, who meets a hard-of-hearing classmate named Kanon after a rainy-night encounter. Kodansha USA licensed the manga, which debuted on Kodansha's Comic Days site in June 2021.
