Invoke Studios and Wizards of the Coast showed a presentation demo of Warlock: Dungeons & Dragons at Tokyo Game Show 2026. The third-person action adventure is set for release in 2027 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and PC. The protagonist is Katri, a battle-hardened warrior who makes a pact with the witch Tasha and becomes a warlock. She explores Darkon, a region of the Dungeons & Dragons Domains of Dread. The demo showed Katri throwing an oil pot to spread fire, drawing water to put it out, and using rubble with the Black Tentacles spell to build improvised footholds. She can also make rain fall and then fire lightning into the wet area to electrocute enemies. Creative director Jeff Hattem said in a Q&A that the game has no dice rolls, that monsters such as beholders, skeletons, and an Ogre Zombie come from D&D, and that play time will reach dozens of hours rather than hundreds.
