Ysbryd Games announced on October 20, 2026 that the free 1.2 Version update for World of Horror will release by Halloween, October 31. The update adds roughly 20% more overall volume, completes unfinished elements and restores cut content. New material includes 2 Old Gods, 19 enemy types, 30 items, about 20 types of injuries, mutations and curses, 3 new protagonists and 10 companions, and a new location, Mountains. A revamped UI, improved controls and a rebuilt MOD feature are also planned.
