The action game stars Pon, a tanuki who rides a BMX and delivers mail, and it is in development at Denkiworks. Players pedal through four towns modeled on Kyoto, Aomori, Sapporo, and Beppu, dropping off parcels and letters as they go. Money from delivery work and items picked up through activities go toward repairing and decorating a shrine, with the work leading into preparations for a festival at the end of summer. Footage shown during the program had Pon moving through a Japanese townscape and interacting with residents. The release covers Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2.
Denkiworks is behind the development, and the setting draws on real places: Kyoto, Aomori, Sapporo, and Beppu each supply a town for Pon to cross on the BMX. The mail runs are not the whole loop. Money earned from deliveries and items collected through activities feed into repairing and decorating a shrine, and that work builds toward a festival held at the end of summer.
The announcement came during the Indie World 2026.10.28 broadcast, and the footage shown there had Pon threading a nostalgic Japanese townscape while meeting its residents. CRITICAL REFLEX put the release date at November 10 across Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2. The Switch 2 version arrives alongside the other platforms on that date.
