The anime of Makoto Morishita's The Fledgling Demon Lord's Starter Shop manga released its second teaser promotional video, a key visual, and a new character visual. Yohei Azakami joins as Ash, the hero who once defeated the demon lord. Reiji Kawashima and Rumi Okubo were previously announced as Villager and Mao. The series premieres in January 2027 on Tokyo MX, MBS, BS11, and other channels. Jun Taira directs at project No.9.
Keiichiro Ochi handles series scripts and Katsuyuki Sato designs the characters. The manga has run in Kodansha's Monthly Shonen Magazine since October 2021, and the 14th compiled volume ships on October 16. Kodansha's K MANGA service publishes it in English.
The premise starts after the hero has already won: with no demon lord left to fight, Villager's item shop, The Nest, has no customers, until a mysterious girl appears. The staff also names Noboru Haraguchi as sound director and Takuro Iga as composer, with Avex Pictures producing the music.
