The Promised Neverland Gets New 36-Page One-Shot on August 24

Weekly Shonen Jump announced a new bonus one-shot chapter for Kaiu Shirai and Posuka Demizu's The Promised Neverland manga. The 36-page chapter, titled "War vs. Peace," is set after the main story and will appear in the magazine's next issue on August 24. The manga is marking its 10th anniversary this year.

The new chapter arrives as part of a wider anniversary push from Shueisha. The manga is also getting a stage musical adaptation that will run in Tokyo this winter, a full-color digital version, a pop-up store in various Japanese cities in May and June, and an online lottery event.

Shirai and Demizu launched the series in Weekly Shonen Jump in August 2016, and it ended in June 2020. Shueisha published the 20th and final volume in October 2020. Viz Media publishes the manga digitally and in print in North America, and MANGA Plus publishes it digitally in English.

The first anime adaptation premiered in January 2019, with a second season following in January 2021. A live-action film premiered in December 2020.
