USJ Teases Mystery Silhouette With Expo 2025 Rights Notice

The rights notice tucked into the image corner points to Expo 2025's mascot as the likely partner, so the park's tease reads less like a riddle and more like a quiet confirmation ahead of the September 30 reveal.

USJ Teases Mystery Silhouette With Expo 2025 Rights Notice

Universal Studios Japan's official X account posted a mysterious silhouette on September 29, 2026, with the message "Tomorrow 9/30, stay tuned" and pink and blue heart marks. A faint rights notice reading "(C)Expo 2025" appears in the lower right of the image. Social media users are guessing the figure could be Myaku-Myaku, the Expo 2025 Osaka-Kansai mascot. The announcement is scheduled for September 30.

The image was shot in the evening and shows the official hotel The Park Front Hotel at Universal Studios Japan along with the Universal Globe. The post carried no name, only the date "Tomorrow 9/30, stay tuned" and two heart marks.

Replies under the post split between guesses: the mother from Atashin'chi, Sazae-san, Myaku-Myaku, a Myaku-Myaku and Hami-Kuma pairing, and Hami-Kuma with a perm. The rights notice in the lower right, reading "(C)Expo 2025," narrowed the field for many. Comments included "An unbelievable collaboration" and "I can't wait to see the visuals."
