Yowaki MAX Reijo Anime Reveals October Debut, More Cast

The television anime adaptation of Hiro Oda's light novel series "Yowaki MAX Reijō nanoni, Ratsuwan Konyakusha-sama no Kake ni Notte Shimatta" will premiere in October 2026, Kadokawa announced on Saturday. The announcement came alongside the release of the first promotional video, the main staff, and three additional cast members. Rina Hidaka joins as Caroline Ramsey, Sora Amamiya as Erin White, and Haruki Ishiya as Henry Cox. Nobuaki Nakanishi is directing the series at studio Jumondo, with Hiroko Fukuda handling series composition, Hyun Sik Choi designing characters, and Moe Hyuga and Natsuki Hamada composing the music. Miku Ito voices protagonist Pia Rockwell and Ryota Osaka voices Rufus Stan, reprising their roles from the novels' voice drama and the manga's voice comic episodes. The story follows a grad student reincarnated as a 10-year-old villainess in an otome game who tries to break her engagement early, only to have her fiancé propose a bet instead. Oda began the story on Shōsetsuka ni Narō in January 2020, and Kadokawa published the seventh novel volume in April 2024. The manga adaptation by Aji Murata released its fifth volume on February 16.

The first promotional video, released alongside the announcement, shows Pia and Rufus in key scenes from the early story. The anime is produced at studio Jumondo, which previously handled I Shall Survive Using Potions! and Shin Koihime Musō. Nobuaki Nakanishi directs, with Hiroko Fukuda on series composition, Hyun Sik Choi on character design, and Moe Hyuga and Natsuki Hamada composing the music at Kadokawa.

Additional staff credits include prop designer Shiori Shirosaki, background artist Shunsuke Sakai, art director Kazuhiro Arai, color designer Hitomi Fujii, director of photography Kunihito Noritomo, editor Yusuke Ueno, and sound director Jin Aketagawa. The overall project has 1.2 million copies in circulation across its novel and manga formats.

Hiro Oda launched the original story on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website in January 2020. That early version has nine chapters and two epilogue chapters. Oda has since posted more tie-in short stories and spinoffs on the site. Kadokawa published the novels with illustrations by Tsubasa.v under the B's Log Bunko imprint, with the seventh volume shipping in April 2024. Aji Murata's manga adaptation began serialization on Kadokawa's KadoComi service in February 2021, and its fifth compiled volume went on sale February 16.
