Yukari Kaneko's Hanarabeez Short Anime Runs Three Episodes on Ribon's YouTube Channel
The three-episode run pulls Hanarabeez out of Ribon's Charatan Labo four-panel pages and onto the magazine's own YouTube channel, a sign the project's original characters are being tried in animation, not only in print.

Ribon magazine's official YouTube channel began streaming the first of three Hanarabeez short anime episodes on Monday, adapting manga artist Yukari Kaneko's original character. Episode two streams on November 9 and episode three on November 24 at 12:00 noon JST. Hana Sato and Yuki Urushiyama star, Eagle Talon creator FROGMAN voices a character, and Benpineko directs at animation studio DLE.
The short anime follows characters who are all teeth, living out what the Ribon channel calls a laid-back and slightly surreal daily life. Benpineko directs at DLE, the studio behind the Eagle Talon series, and FROGMAN, who created Eagle Talon, joins the cast alongside Hana Sato and Yuki Urushiyama.
Kaneko's Hanarabeez is one of the original characters from Charatan Labo, a Ribon project that launched in September 2025 and publishes four-panel manga of original characters every month. The anime's remaining two episodes land on November 9 and November 24.
