Bandai Spirits Renews Three Gundam Universe Figures With New Frame
Gundam Universe has been an entry-level line built around play and durability, and the new internal frame is the mechanism the line is using to refresh figures that were already on shelves rather than only debuting new mobile suits.
Reporting from 1 source: Inside.
Bandai Spirits will release renewed versions of Freedom Gundam, Wing Gundam Zero (EW), and Char's Zaku II from its Gundam Universe action figure line on October 31. Each figure adopts the new Universal Reaction Frame, which the line credits with a wider range of articulation for reenacting scenes from the anime. All three stand about 150mm tall, cost 4,400 yen each with tax included, and ship as general retail products.
The renewal is a frame swap, not a redesign. Bandai Spirits is reissuing three existing Gundam Universe figures on the Universal Reaction Frame, the internal skeleton the line is now rolling out across new products.
Accessories stay close to what each suit needs. Freedom Gundam carries a beam rifle, shield, beam sabers, connected beam saber, effect parts, and interchangeable hands. Wing Gundam Zero (EW) gets its twin buster rifle and beam sabers. Char's Zaku II comes with a Zaku Bazooka, Zaku Machine Gun, and Heat Hawk. All three include joint parts sets.
