Jotei Manga Gets New Live-Action Series Starring Nagisa Saitō

A new live-action television series based on Ryō Kurashina and Issaku Wake's Jotei Super Queen manga will premiere on October 22 in the YTV channel's late-night Drama DiVE block. Nagisa Saitō stars as Ayaka Tachibana, a woman who loses her single mother to cancer and tries to become the Empress of Ginza through its hostess clubs. Kurashina and Wake serialized the manga in Houbunsha's Weekly Manga Times from 1996 to 2001.

The manga ran in Houbunsha's Weekly Manga Times from 1996 to 2001, written by Ryō Kurashina and drawn by Issaku Wake. Its 2007 spinoff Jotei Kaoruko also became a live-action series in 2010. Nagisa Saitō's credits include Himitsu no AiPri: Ring-hen, the live-action Oshi no Ko, and Tomorrow, I Will Be Someone's Girlfriend. The October 22 premiere puts the series in YTV's late-night Drama DiVE slot.
