Mori plays Miori Kamiya, an elite Metropolitan Police Department detective and Yoshida's buddy and mentor figure Tetsutaro Kawanabe, a veteran detective who stays on the job past retirement age. The series is a one-episode-complete original mystery. A second teaser is scheduled after the November 1 broadcast of VIVANT.
Mori appears in a TBS drama for the first time in six years, since the Tuesday drama Kono Koi Atatamemasuka in 2020. Her Kamiya is described as a young detective with strong reasoning but little flexibility, a contrast to Yagira's Toru Aoyanagi, a member of the Metropolitan Police Department's Victim Support Unit who reaches cases by empathizing with suspects rather than cornering them.
The format reveals the culprit at the start of each episode, leaving the drama to work through dialogue between Aoyanagi and the people around the case. Yoshida's Kawanabe, a veteran kept on the scene past retirement age, ends up taking orders from Kamiya despite the age gap between them. A second teaser with the three leads is set to run after the November 1 broadcast of VIVANT.
