Tokyo Game Show 2026 ran September 17 to 21 at Makuhari Messe in Chiba Prefecture, with the 17th and 18th as business days and the 19th and 20th as public days. The 21st was canceled out of consideration for safety because of an approaching typhoon, so the four days that ran drew more than 250,000 visitors.
Even with that scaling back, the show set its largest exhibitor field: 1,138 companies and organizations from 53 countries and regions, past last year's count. Cosplay was allowed at the venue, with a designated photo area, and the photos below collect nine cosplayers from the floor dressed as characters from Chinese games.
