In some units the alkaline button battery swelled and a defect caused the lid to lift, and the company cited the risk of battery leakage or damage from impact in deciding on the recall.
The recall covers a single product sold over twelve days across four sales channels, including the resort's online store. Oriental Land's stated reason is a swelling alkaline button battery that pushed the lid up in some units, with leakage or impact damage as the risk behind the decision.
