Sazae-san led the Kanto region animation ratings for the week of October 12 to 18 with an 8.2, followed by Detective Conan at 6.2.

Why it matters
In a week where a Friday late-night anime slot landed inside the overall top five, the ranking shows how much of the animation audience still arrives through daytime family programming rather than late-night series.
Key Facts
- Sazae-san earned an 8.2 rating on Fuji TV on October 18, the highest in the Kanto animation rankings for October 12-18.
- Detective Conan drew a 6.2 on NTV on October 17.
- The Apothecary Diaries season 3 drew a 3.6 on NTV on October 16 at 23:00.

- The ratings are Video Research estimates for the Kanto region and exclude recordings watched later.
Chibi Maruko-chan and a live-action A Solitary Gourmet re-airing both drew a 5.5, while The Apothecary Diaries season 3 reached a 3.6 in its Friday 23:00 NTV slot. The figures come from Video Research household surveys and exclude later recordings.
The rankings cover the Kanto region and come from Video Research household surveys, which estimate the share of the population watching a program as it airs. The week's spread runs from an 8.2 down to a 1.8, and the top of the chart is dominated by long-running weekend family shows rather than late-night series. One Friday 23:00 broadcast on NTV does sit inside the top five, above several daytime children's titles. Recordings watched later are not counted in any of the figures.
