Cocoro Software's roguelike TPS Spell Fragments is on the floor at Tokyo Game Show 2026, running September 17 to 21 at the Soufu booth. Magic is built by placing Trigger, Spell, and Option fragments on a 5x5 grid and linking them with Paths, allowing up to 25 fragments per build. The Steam page still lists the release date as Coming Soon, and no launch date has been announced.

Capcom showed new footage for Mega Man: Dual Override during its Capcom Spotlight livestream on Wednesday, detailing two playable leads: the balanced Mega Man and Protoman, a stronger close-range attacker. The video also previews Custom Chips, Special Weapons and Robot Master abilities, and the Override mechanic. The game launches in spring 2027 for Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store.

Capcom's online store e-Capcom has opened the TOKYO GAME SHOW2026 SPECIAL STORE, with preorders for new character goods beginning in September. The lineup includes hand-drawn collaboration goods for Pragmata x Mega Man: Dual Override such as acrylic stands, acrylic keychains, can badges, metallic files, and 3-piece acrylic coaster sets, plus Pragmata-only acrylic stands, clear file sets, and sticker sets.

The Pragmata and Mega Man social media accounts traded posts on September 14. Mega Man opened with a logo-less image of Mega Man: Dual Override. Pragmata replied with Diana dressed as Roll and Hugh dressed as Mega Man. The exchange ended with an original illustration of Mega Man and Diana in an action pose. Pragmata gets downloadable content with Mega Man and Roll themed skins this year.

Among the featured discounts, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, the Square Enix RPG preceding a series finale, is priced at 1,973 yen, a 70 percent reduction from 6,578 yen. Monster Hunter Wilds, which has a large DLC planned, is 25 percent off at 3,742 yen, while Pragmata Deluxe Edition receives its first-ever discount at 20 percent off, bringing it to 7,192 yen. Capcom opened the CAPCOM TGS SALE on September 8, 2026 across Steam and Epic Games Store, and the centerpiece is the first Steam discount for PRAGMATA, the studio's new IP sci-fi action adventure. The base game drops 20 percent from 7,990 yen to 6,392 yen, and the Deluxe Edition, which adds costumes, weapon skins, and Diana's emotes, falls from 8,990 yen to 7,192 yen. PRAGMATA follows Hugh, a researcher stranded on the Moon, and Diana, an android girl, as they try to return to Earth from an AI-controlled lunar world. The game was originally planned for 2022, slipped through multiple delays, and shipped in 2026; it now holds an Overwhelmingly Positive rating on Steam from 32,000 reviews, and Game*Spark scored it 9 out of 10. The Steam portion of the sale runs until September 22 at 1:59. Elsewhere in the lineup, Monster Hunter Wilds is 25 percent off, Monster Hunter Stories 3 and Biohazard Requiem are each 30 percent off, Biohazard RE:4 is 75 percent off at 997 yen, and Biohazard RE:2 and RE:3 are 80 percent off at 798 yen.

AGM Mobile is exhibiting at IFA 2026 in Berlin through September 8. The booth shows rugged smartphones including the AGM H6 Pro, H Max Pro, and X7 Pro, along with the AGM Legion Pro smartwatch. The centerpiece is the AGM PAD P3 Compact tablet, which pairs an 8.68-inch 120Hz screen with IP68 resistance.

Rant Gaming Studios released the official trailer for Fragmentary Order on September 4, and with it confirmed that full gameplay footage will arrive within the month. The sci-fi FPS, set in 2251, follows the collapse of the CORE organization's control over humanity. The trailer introduces the story and a VR-style device called BLINDSIGHT II, but shows no gameplay. The game was announced in February as Cor3 and renamed in April.

NVIDIA is updating its Ray Reconstruction technology with a second-generation Transformer model as part of DLSS 4.5, scheduled to roll out on GeForce RTX GPUs from the 20 series through the 50 series in August 2026. The new model, introduced alongside the gamescom 2026 announcements, is trained on a larger dataset and uses 35% more computational power while processing 20% more parameters. It gives developers finer control over temporal accumulation, which determines how much information from past frames is kept. Automaton's hands-on testing with a GeForce RTX 5070 Ti found that afterimages from path-traced light sources, like the lasers in Capcom's PRAGMATA, now disappear more quickly and naturally. Game Spark, using a GeForce RTX 5090, verified similar results in PRAGMATA and Biohazard Requiem, noting clearer raindrop outlines and more stable reflections on glass surfaces. NVIDIA materials state the performance impact is nearly negligible on RTX 40/50 series, though slight differences may occur on 20/30 series due to architectural constraints. The update also works with RTX Remix and arrives in the NVIDIA App via DLSS Override.

The announcement comes amid ongoing labor tensions: SAG-AFTRA issued an order in March directing members to withhold services from the game after the producer "failed to initiate the signatory process," and voice actor Ben Diskin said on Bluesky he would no longer voice Mega Man because he was asked to work "only on the condition I work without the protections of a union contract." The game was first announced at The Game Awards last year as the series' first new title in nine years.

At CEDEC2026, Capcom developers Kenji Irie and Serina Kohara detailed the creation of Diana's facial expressions and strand hair in Pragmata. The team pursued a 'Diana-like and cute' look, manually editing motion capture noise, and considered a bob cut before committing to long hair.

Cocoro Software announced on July 24, 2026, that its roguelike third-person shooter 'Spell Fragments' has been selected for the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry's startup support program 'IP360'. The game was accepted into the 'Menu 1: IP New Creation Support (Startup Support: Sōfū)' division, which received 819 applications and accepted only 34, a selection rate of about 24 times. 'Spell Fragments' is a roguelike TPS where players equip spell fragments and combine elements to create custom magic, then assign those spells to keys or clicks to defeat enemies and clear dungeons. With the support, Cocoro Software plans to accelerate development for quality improvement, content expansion, and overseas expansion. The company also announced that the game will be exhibited at the iGi indie Game incubator / Sōfū booth (09-C67) at Tokyo Game Show 2026, which runs from September 17 to September 21, 2026. The studio is currently recruiting level designers, illustrators, and UI designers to strengthen the development team. 'Spell Fragments' is scheduled for release on PC via Steam.

On July 15, the personal creative circle Kūsō no Kōbō released the Steam store page for MeMento*fragMent, a dystopian apocalyptic visual novel. The game is scheduled for release on PC in 2026. The amnesiac protagonist collects mysterious fragments that project images of a dying world and a girl traveling alone. The creator, Munin Nazawa, previously released the yuri ADV Yodomi Umi no Obore Uta, which has a Very Positive rating on Steam.

Mouse Computer's G TUNE brand released a lineup of gaming PCs verified for Capcom's sci-fi action-adventure PRAGMATA on June 29. The lineup includes the DG-A7G70 desktop with an RTX 5070 for 459,800 yen and the H6-I9G7TBK-B laptop for 549,800 yen, both designed to handle ray tracing and DLSS 4.
