Rutger And Reinya Join Atelier Kalia As TGS 2026 Demo Details Emerge
Koei Tecmo Games and Gust showed a trailer for Atelier Kalia: The Night Kingdom and the Signpost of Reminiscence during the Xbox Tokyo Game Show 2026 Broadcast on September 17, and the trailer confirmed that Rutger Arendt and Reina, both from Atelier Yumia, fight alongside protagonist Kalia. The game is scheduled for release on February 25, 2027 for Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. A demo at Tokyo Game Show 2026 runs about 15 minutes and opens with Kalia leaving her atelier with companions, with Yumia appearing in the same scene, which suggests the story continues directly from the previous game. Kalia is a glutton who can eat materials while gathering and during battle, gaining effects and changing her appearance and costume based on what she eats. Alchemy uses a map-based puzzle in which materials attach as nodes and same-attribute nodes connect into larger diagrams that raise an item's effects.
