Dynasty Warriors 2 With Xtreme Legends Remastered Gets October 1 Release Date
Koei Tecmo Games announced on June 3 during Sony's State of Play broadcast that Dynasty Warriors 2 with Xtreme Legends Remastered will launch on October 1. The remaster combines the 2001 original Dynasty Warriors 2 and its expansion disc Dynasty Warriors 2: Xtreme Legends. It will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam. The title was originally scheduled for a March 19 release when announced in September 2025, but was delayed for quality improvements. The new trailer revealed several additions not present in the original releases: horse calling, evasion and just evasion mechanics, and the inclusion of Ziluan (also romanized as Shiran), the protagonist of Dynasty Warriors: Origins, as a playable character. Ziluan comes with new weapons, actions, and scenarios. The game features over 40 officers, significantly upgraded graphics from the original PS2 and Xbox versions, and controls polished for modern standards. Pre-orders for the PS5 version began today.
