Bandai Spirits opened reservations on August 5, 2026 for the Digital Monster COLOR ULTRAMAN SERIES 60th EDITION, a special version of the virtual pet device commemorating the 60th anniversary of the Ultraman series. The product is available in two body colors: ULTRAMAN HENSHIN COLOR, inspired by Ultraman's transformation scene, and GRAFFITI ULTRAHEROES COLOR, which incorporates dot art designs. Both versions use UV printer printing technology to cover the entire surface with imagery of Ultraman, Ultraman Tiga, and Ultraman Zero. Microsoft raised the price of every Xbox Series X and Series S model sold in Japan by 30,000 yen on August 1, 2026. The television anime of the light novel series Reborn as a Space Mercenary will open with rock band FLOW's "Unstoppable" and close with metal band ASTERISM's "My Way." The series premieres in October on Tokyo MX, Yomiuri TV, and Chukyo TV, and will stream on Crunchyroll.

Razer officially announced the Razer | Wuthering Waves Collection on July 3, 2026, a set of four gaming peripherals themed after the Resonator Danjin from the open-world action RPG Wuthering Waves, developed by Kuro Games. Bandai Spirits announced on July 2 that a new Ichiban Kuji lottery for JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, titled "The Gathering of RIVALS," will release sequentially from November 21, 2026. Each draw costs 850 yen including tax. The lineup features seven MASTERLISE figures of antagonists from across the series: Dio Brando (Prize A), Kars (Prize B), DIO (Prize C), Kosaku Kawajiri (Prize D), Diavolo (Prize E), Enrico Pucci (Prize F), and Diego Brando as the Last One Prize. Prize A's Dio Brando figure includes a Stone Mask and a fearless expression. The Last One Prize marks the first appearance of Diego Brando, from Part 7, in this figure series. IndieArk and developer Rock&Dash announced on July 2 that the open-world survival craft game Alien Frontier Wonderia will launch in Early Access on Steam on July 23, 2026. The game is set on an alien planet with a retro comic-book art style and supports online co-op for up to eight players. At Early Access launch, three different biomes will be available, featuring mysterious creatures, treasure-filled alien ruins, playful temples, and unique NPCs. Players can engage in exploration, mining, crafting, combat, farming, fishing, and a transformation mechanic that lets them become aliens. The world is generated from random seeds, and building is highly flexible: players can reshape terrain, move ruins, and decorate bases. Vehicles such as cars, boats, and rail carts are available for travel, and teleport points can be repaired for fast travel. The price has not been announced. The game supports Japanese language.
