Castlevania: Belmont's Curse Born From Mutual Interest, Producer Says
At gamescom 2026, Konami producer Isao Taniguchi revealed how 'Castlevania: Belmont's Curse' came to be. The 2D action game is developed by Evil Empire and Motion Twin, known for 'Dead Cells.' Taniguchi said he was preparing to contact Evil Empire about a new Castlevania when the studio reached out first about a collaboration DLC. That mutual timing led to the project.
