The Final Fantasy series has two recent touchpoints from Yomimono coverage. Square Enix's smartphone game Dissidia Duellum Final Fantasy, a free-to-play action battle title that launched in March 2026, added Tidus from Final Fantasy X on June 30. The character is a Speed-type Water-attribute fighter with a limited-time gacha for exclusive abilities. Separately, Final Fantasy IX appears in a coordinated summer sale on the Nintendo Store alongside titles from Bandai Namco and Capcom, with discounts running through July 2026. These two items represent the only current facts about the series in Yomimono's reporting: a new mobile entry receiving a character update and a classic game being offered at a reduced price. No other Final Fantasy releases, announcements, or developments are covered in the available stories.

Knytt Classic is a pixel-perfect port that faithfully reproduces the original's maze-like, atmospheric exploration, with no combat or puzzles, focusing purely on movement and jumping.
