Final Fantasy XIV Player Soloes 'Unbeatable' Trial by Playing Two Characters at Once

A player named Rath Games has soloed the Warrior of Light Trial in Final Fantasy XIV, a boss fight designed for eight players that includes an instant-kill mechanic requiring a full party's limit break to survive. Rath Games controlled two characters simultaneously, using a Blue Mage and a Sage, and exploited post-revival invulnerability to bypass the fatal attack.

Final Fantasy XIV: Dawntrail Patch 7.51 Adds Ultimate Raid, Custom Delivery, and New Star

Square Enix will release Final Fantasy XIV: Dawntrail patch 7.51, subtitled The Path to the Beyond, on June 2. The update introduces the seventh ultimate raid, The Minstrel's Ballad: The Final Day, which focuses on the boss Kefka. It also adds a new custom delivery target, Chisoya, and a new star, Plant Civilization Star Auxesia, for Cosmo Explorer.
