GOG.com now displays and accepts payment in Japanese yen. A banner appears at the top of the page when the store is accessed from Japan, and the currency can also be switched by selecting JPY from the Currency menu at the bottom. US dollar display and payment remain available. The store, operated by GOG Sp. z o.o., is known for DRM-free PC games and for its GOG Preservation Program, which verifies older titles run on current Windows and fixes bugs. Titles such as SWAT 4: Gold Edition, Theme Park, Ultima Underworld 1+2, Nox, World in Conflict: Complete Edition, The Wheel of Time, and Star Trek: Voyager - Elite Force are listed among its older catalog. Yen support follows earlier additions of Czech koruna and Turkish lira. Prices are not uniformly set for the Japanese market. SILENT HILL 2 is listed at 11,070 yen on GOG against 8,580 yen on Steam, and the 1996 Resident Evil at 1,580 yen against 1,000 yen on Steam. Baldur's Gate 3 sits at 8,499 yen on both stores.

Doyusha will release block kits of the Mach 5 and the Shooting Star from Mach GoGoGo, the 1967 racing anime known overseas as Speed Racer. Both kits are set for December 2026 at 3,850 yen each, tax included. The white Mach 5 measures 175 by 72 by 86 millimeters; the yellow Shooting Star measures 175 by 72 by 43 millimeters. Each kit includes a dedicated display stand.

Bandai is releasing Precure All Stars Q posket Miniature Collection 2 at gashapon locations nationwide starting in the fifth week of August. The second installment of the miniature figure line features four characters from Yes! Precure 5 GoGo!: Cure Lemonade, Cure Mint, Cure Aqua, and Milky Rose. Each item costs 500 yen including tax.

Bandai Spirits has announced the full lineup for its upcoming Ichiban Kuji Precure ~Endless Grace~ lottery, set for sequential in-store release starting September 26, 2026. Online sales begin October 19, 2026. The headline prizes are two approximately 17 cm figures: the A Prize Cure Dream and the Last One Prize Milky Rose, both sculpted in transformation poses and designed to be displayed together. The lottery spans 14 prize tiers in total, including the palm-sized PUNY BEANS deformed figure series covering all six members of the Yes! Pretty Cure 5 GoGo! team, plush mascots of fairies Coco, Nuts, Milk, and Syrup, a CureMo-inspired card case, bag charms, pouches, hand towels, and stickers. Several tiers, including the fairy plush mascots, character charms, and daily items, are selectable, allowing winners to choose their preferred variant rather than relying on random draw. A Double Chance Campaign offers a Cure Dream and Milky Rose figure set to 50 winners. Each draw costs 770 yen including tax.

Bandai's Vender Division is releasing the second volume of the Precure All Stars Q posket Miniature Collection, a gashapon line that shrinks its crane-game prize figures into boxed miniatures. The new set draws entirely from Yes! Precure 5 GoGo!, with all four characters from that series appearing: Cure Lemonade, Cure Mint, Cure Aqua, and Milky Rose. Each capsule costs 500 yen including tax, and the release is scheduled for the fifth week of August 2026, though timing may vary by region and store. The figures are detailed miniatures whose packaging reproduces the design of the standard Q posket boxes, and they can be removed from their packages. The collection is a capsule product with four types in total. Bandai lists Toei Animation as the copyright holder for the Precure characters. The first volume of the series launched earlier in the Q posket Miniature Collection line, which also includes a separate Detective Conan set debuting in the same month with four characters of its own.

Tatsunoko Production's 1967 anime Mach GoGoGo will air on Disney Channel in Japan starting August 7, 2026. The series, known as Speed Racer overseas, will broadcast weekdays at midnight with four episodes per day. It marks the channel's first airing of the classic car-action show.

A bug in the mobile version of the focus app gogh caused the app to crash whenever a specific squid character appeared on Monaka Beach. The developer, ambr, traced the issue to a missing animation reference, a NullReferenceException. The bug affected over 2,000 users in a week and has been fixed.

The event commemorates the start of distribution of the interactive experience Dear Van Gogh within Sky. Visitors can experience the world of the interactive experience, which explores the life and works of Vincent van Gogh, through exhibits and spatial design.

Bandai Spirits has revealed the full lineup for Ichiban Kuji Vincent van Gogh, a no-loser lottery based on the Dutch painter. The A prize is a diorama figure of The Starry Night that also functions as a pen holder. The last one prize is a phosphorescent version that glows in the dark. The lottery launches July 25 at convenience stores and other outlets, with online sales starting July 28. Each draw costs 800 yen.

Developer ambr released a summer update for the Steam version of gogh: Focus with Your Avatar on June 25, adding an Avatar Workshop that lets users upload custom avatars to Steam Workshop with public or limited sharing. The update also expands avatar slots from 9 to 18, introduces a new outdoor room called Monaka Beach with 60 new room items, and adds summer avatar items designed by illustrator Kanazume Yamane. Thirteen new focus poses and a chat item beta test are included. A Free Weekend will run from July 10 to July 13, during which the full game is playable at no cost. A 40% off sale runs from June 26 to July 24. ambr also announced that gogh will have a booth at Bilibili World 2026 in Shanghai, the company's first appearance at a Chinese event. The mobile version of gogh has surpassed 2.5 million downloads, while the Steam version has sold over 300,000 copies.

Independent developer Micelle announced on June 24 that Kanji de GOGO!, a sequel to the kanji quiz series Kanji de GO!, will launch on Steam on June 26. Unlike the original, which asked players to read kanji, the new game requires players to write the correct kanji based on a katakana reading and contextual hints. The game includes multiple modes: Entertainment for beginners and streamers, Gachi for high-difficulty kanji unlocked by meeting conditions, Rush for consecutive same-level problems, and a bonus score attack mode called Shutori Issen that tests speed and accuracy. A Customize mode allows adjusting lives and time limits, and a Question Checker lets players review pre-recorded questions. The original Kanji de GO! browser version on PLiCy has been played over 80 million times. A collaboration version, Kanji de GO! Shueisha Manga Festival, will end distribution on September 30, 2026. Micelle also composed most of the game's music.

Thatgamecompany announced a new content update for Sky: Children of the Light titled Dear Van Gogh, launching July 17 across all platforms. The experience lets players travel through 3D recreations of Vincent van Gogh's paintings and explore his life, struggles, and relationships. Central to the content are the letters exchanged between van Gogh and his brother Theo, which reveal the conflicts van Gogh faced and Theo's support. The update also focuses on Theo's wife, Johanna van Gogh-Bonger, and her role in promoting van Gogh's work after his death. Some of van Gogh's representative works are recreated as explorable 3D spaces, with the bold brushstrokes and colors of Post-Impressionism. The content runs until October 2. Sky: Children of the Light is a free-to-play social adventure from the developers of Journey, available on PS5, PS4, Nintendo Switch, iOS, Android, and PC via Steam. The announcement was made during the Future Games Show: Summer Showcase 2026 on June 7.
