Hiroto Shimizu is attached to two television anime announced for 2027: Bride of the Barrier Master, which debuts in January 2027, and Glasses With a Chance of Delinquent, which premieres in April 2027.
Hiroto Shimizu has two anime cast roles on the record, and both are for shows that will not air until 2027. The earlier announcement, in September 2026, was for Bride of the Barrier Master. Shimizu plays Nozomi Ichinomiya, the younger brother of Saku, in the adaptation of Kureha's light novel series. The cast addition was one of five announced together with a teaser promotional video and a third teaser visual. He is not in the lead pair: Akari Kito and Kikunosuke Toya were already set as Hana Ichise and Saku Ichinomiya. The surrounding cast places Shimizu's character inside Hana's family and magic circle, with Kanon Takao as Hana's twin sister Hazuki and Yuzuki Tamukai, Taihi Kimura, and M.A.O as shikigami. TROYCA animates the series, Toru Kitahata directs, and Yen Press handles the light novels and manga in English. The series was dated to January 2027.
Then in October 2026, a second role arrived. Shimizu is in the first cast list for the Glasses With a Chance of Delinquent anime, playing Dan Ichikura. Suzuko Hara plays Hiro Momose and Yuma Tomochika plays Ohana-chan. That series is scheduled for April 2027 on ABC TV and TV Asahi's Animazing!!! block, with ABEMA streaming to follow. Makoto Hoshino directs at Studio Flad and Wao World, with series scripts by Megumi Shimizu and character designs by Ruriko Watanabe.
Across both announcements, the pattern is the same: Shimizu is a supporting player in ensemble casts, named at the point when a project's first cast and staff are made public, with a broadcast window attached and no full trailer yet. The two titles share a year but not a season, and both announcements were the first casting news for their respective shows.
