Blindspot Games announced Infinity: HexaDome Tactics, the first PC game adaptation of the Infinity series, for Steam in fall 2026. The 1v1 turn-based tactics game is set in the HexaDome arena and features hexagonal grid combat, team building, and sponsor objectives. A pre-release tournament event begins June 2026.
Rakuten Group has launched a second collaboration campaign with Demon Slayer to promote the Blu-ray and DVD release of Infinity Castle Arc - Chapter 1: Akaza's Return. Participants across Rakuten services can win an original drawstring bag featuring a newly drawn illustration of the Shopping Panda with Demon Slayer characters. The campaign runs until August 31.
Crunchyroll is releasing Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle on over 3,300 screens in North America, six times the average for an anime release over the past decade. According to Anime By The Numbers, even the most conservative estimates project the film will become the highest-grossing anime movie in US history by box office receipts. The previous record holder among anime films in the US is Pokémon: The First Movie - Mewtwo Strikes Back, which earned $85 million in 1999. The prior Demon Slayer film, Mugen Train, earned just under $50 million in 2021, helped by its timing as the first wide anime release after COVID lockdowns. Infinity Castle has already broken records internationally: it is the second-highest grossing film in Japanese box office history, the best-performing animated film ever in Taiwan, and the third best-performing animated film in South Korea. The newsletter notes that Crunchyroll and GKIDS have recently pushed for longer theatrical runs for anime, with Dan Da Dan: Evil Eye nearly doubling its box office after opening weekend. Deadline is cited reporting that anime moviegoers buy tickets upfront and attend early, with little walk-up business.
The upcoming summer film for Kamen Rider Zetts will bring together every member of the secret defense organization CODE for the first time. The film, Kamen Rider Zetts & Cho Uchu Keiji Gavan Infinity W Hero Summer Movie 2026, opens in theaters nationwide on July 24. It is a double feature with the Gavan Infinity film. The newly released scene photos show the full CODE lineup facing the antagonist Kudo Shuma, also known as Kamen Rider Musou, played by Soshina Shunta of M!LK. Musou can manipulate the waking dream world. The CODE agents include Manzu Baku as Kamen Rider Zetts (Imai Ryutaro), Nox as Kamen Rider Nox (Furukawa Yuki), Zieg as Kamen Rider Dawn (Amano Hiroshige), Zero (Kawahira Jiei), The Lady (Mimura Rie), Three (Tamaki Hiroki), Five (Koyanagi Shin), and Six (Hirakawa Yuzuki). The Gavan Infinity side of the double feature will see four Gavan characters from different dimensions gather and perform a simultaneous "steaming" transformation. Guest actors for the Zetts portion include Soshina, and for the Gavan portion, the comedy duo Jarujaru's Goto Junpei and Fukutoku Shusuke, along with Takahashi Tsutomu, appear.
Hikaru Kondo, founder and producer of ufotable, spoke with The Hollywood Reporter about the production of Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle, the first film in a planned trilogy adapting the final arc of Koyoharu Gotouge's manga. The film has grossed $722 million worldwide, including $134.5 million in North America, making it the highest-grossing Japanese film of all time. Kondo described his role as sending creative prompts to the studio's roughly 300 in-house staff, with storyboards serving as a launch pad for animators to experiment with action sequences and camera motion. When asked about a reported $20 million budget, Kondo declined to confirm the figure but noted that a Hollywood sequel with similar box office performance would justify a budget of $100 million to $150 million. Aniplex producer Yuma Takahashi, who joined the conversation, said he would "sincerely try my best" regarding budget for future installments. Kondo also addressed ufotable's history of receiving offers from Hollywood studios, stating the company evaluates each project individually without changing its fundamental production approach. He emphasized that the studio's strength comes from long-term staff retention and a trial-and-error process blending 2D and 3D animation.
Infold Games released Infinity Nikki Ver2.6 End of the Tide on May 29. The update adds the Windfall Quest Resounding Ocarina, the new ★5 set costume Silent Dawn, and the stage Crimson Garden of the Past. Players can earn 15 Revelation Crystals and over 2500 diamonds through limited-time events.
Activision and Infinity Ward announced Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 on May 29, 2026, with a release date of October 23, 2026. The game is set on the Korean Peninsula, where a full-scale North Korean invasion triggers a global crisis. The campaign follows a young South Korean soldier named Park and his unit as they fight for survival, while a parallel story follows Captain John Price, now a fugitive operating outside Task Force 141. The multiplayer mode removes hip-fire bloom, a system where bullets randomly scatter during hip-fire, and introduces the Ballistic Authority system for more realistic weapon handling. A new dynamic map mode called Kill Block features over 500 layout patterns that change during matches. The game will launch on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2, with no previous-generation console versions. The extraction mode DMZ returns, with details to be revealed on June 7. Pre-orders are open, with a Vault Edition available at a discount for returning players.
Infinity Ward announced on May 22 that it is developing the next Call of Duty: Modern Warfare title. Studio heads Mark Griggsby and Jack Hart confirmed the project in an interview video, calling it the definitive Modern Warfare. The studio, which created the original Modern Warfare in 2007, says the new game is a determined, bold, and relentless work.
