Kioxia Brings Asian Games Esports SSDs To Tokyo Game Show
Kioxia exhibited at Tokyo Game Show 2026, held at Makuhari Messe from September 17 to 21, marking the semiconductor maker's first booth at a gaming event. The centerpiece was hands-on play on competition PCs built with Mouse Computer's gaming brand G TUNES and fitted with the EXCERIA PRO G2 SSD, the same configuration used at the esports competition for the 20th Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya in 2026. Visitors played Street Fighter 6 to sample the drive's short load times under conditions close to what tournament players use. The booth also displayed consumer SSDs including the EXCERIA PRO G2, and showed color variations for the EXCERIA PLUS G2 Portable SSD as a reference exhibit ahead of launch, with shades named Sumi, Momiji, Ruri, Matcha, and Kinako. A collaboration gachapon with Mouse Computer ran at the booth, and guest talk events were scheduled for the public days.
