Convai Innovations has released Laya, an open-source decision-making AI that makes judgments instead of generating text. Laya reads input data with prepared typed questions and predicts the optimal option in a single computation, around 33 milliseconds on GPU. It is provided under Apache 2.0. The article states Laya runs about 7.8 times faster than Jev, though Jev is said to hold higher accuracy when more than 50 options are processed.

A new execution app called Ollaya runs Jev-style decision models on local hardware. Jev, which appeared on September 15, 2026, is an AI model that outputs judgments and confidence scores for multiple options. Ollaya supports Windows, macOS, and Linux, and is published as open source under Apache License Version 2.0. In a listed example, the decision model Winnow-E4B reads a user message about a third double charge and returns Intent: refund request (91%), Urgency: present (92%), and Anger level: 2.89 (86%). A chart comparing Jev's API service against a local run on a GeForce RTX 4070 shows that, depending on the model, local accuracy gets fairly close to Jev's while latency is shorter. Ollama added decision-model support in version 0.35, but that release covers three models, nimble, tev1, and tev1:0.8b, and allows a maximum of 15 options per request. Ollaya can run higher-performance models and set up to 255 options.

Alaya Lab exhibited at Tokyo Game Show 2026, held September 17 to 21, showing hands-on demos that read biological signals. NeuroWizards is an action game where an EEG headset sets a character's magic attribute, closing the eyes charges power, turning the face aims, and blinking casts. The booth also showed Kaiso Taxi, Mushin Capsule x Neu World, and a capsule-toy machine driven by brainwaves.

Level-5 and NHN PlayArt are jointly developing the mobile puzzle game Gensou Sekai no Puchipoyon. At Tokyo Game Show 2026, the NHN PlayArt booth ran a TGS-exclusive hands-on setup using a large screen and a dedicated controller called Tenobirth. Players hold a hand over the sensor to move the bar and open the hand to drop Puchipoyon, matching identical ones to evolve them, using a hammer gauge to break Crystalun, and avoiding overflow.

NHN PlayArt plans to release the high-speed card battle RPG OVER RUSH for iOS, Android, and PC via Steam. An open beta test runs from September 17 at 10:00 to September 24 at 14:59. Both cluster articles come from Automaton, one a hands-on preview of the beta build and one an interview with development producer Kota Terada. The game is set in Sync City, a near-future city where AI robots and humans live together, and where robots called Workroids have gone out of control and caused incidents that harm people. Players are the captain of R.U.S.H, a unit assigned to handle rogue Workroids, and they fight next to a partner Workroid called a Buddy. Battles use red, blue, and green cards, four to a hand, and linking four of one color raises the Link Level. A same-color Link Card in the fourth slot fires a Link Attack that boosts the card's effect by 500 percent. A store page and a special site are already public.

NHN PlayArt will run an open beta test for OVER RUSH, its real-time card battle RPG, from September 17 at 10:00 to September 24 at 14:59 in 2026. The test covers iOS and Android, with downloads starting on the 17th. Recommended hardware includes iPhone 12 or later on iOS 15.0 and Android 11 with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 class chip or better, at 4GB and 8GB of RAM respectively, and at least 5GB of free storage. Nobody gets to keep progress: the developer plans to reset OBT data because the build is tuned separately. Players who fill out the survey by September 24 at 23:59 receive a code for an in-game item usable after launch. Registration runs on the official site and at the NHN PlayArt booth at Tokyo Game Show 2026, which runs September 17 to 21 at Makuhari Messe. A Steam version is planned.
