LINE Games' Co-op Comedy Horror QUIET Begins Steam Playtest
LINE Games announced on August 3, 2026 that it has started a playtest on Steam for its new PC title QUIET, a cooperative comedy horror game for up to four players. Players take on the role of duck-shaped aliens who crash-land on Earth and must sneak into houses to steal parts needed to repair their spaceship, all while avoiding a supervisor. The game's core mechanic is sound: any noise, such as dropping an object, reveals the player's position, and louder sounds make the supervisor pursue faster and more relentlessly. The playtest lets players challenge the first stage in cooperation with teammates, and LINE Games plans to improve the game's quality based on participant feedback. The full release is scheduled for within 2026, and a play movie showing actual gameplay has also been released. The test includes three difficulty levels: Easy, Normal, and Hard, with Normal as the default. Play data will not carry over to the full version, and controls are currently keyboard and mouse only, though controller support is planned for future updates. The game supports Japanese.
