Minori Fujidera is cast as Natsumi Hinata in the new Sgt. Frog television anime, which premieres October 3 on TV Tokyo. Fujidera is also cast as Shizuka Taira in the Tank Chair television anime, set to premiere in fall 2026.
Minori Fujidera's two most recent roles sit in productions at different stages. The newest is Natsumi Hinata in the new Sgt. Frog television anime. The staff announced the part on Monday alongside four other cast additions: Yuki Sakakihara as Fuyuki Hinata, Sumire Morohoshi as Momoka Nishizawa, Hiiro Ishibashi as Mutsumi Hojo, and Koko Fukushima as Koyuki Azumaya. A second main trailer also previewed the opening theme by ano and the ending theme by PURPLE BUBBLE. The anime premieres October 3 on TV Tokyo.
Earlier, Fujidera was named as Shizuka Taira in the television anime adaptation of Manabu Yashiro's manga Tank Chair, announced with a character promotional video. Shizuka is the younger sister of Nagi Taira, the strongest assassin, who fell into a coma protecting her and who wakes only when exposed to murderous intent. Kōki Uchiyama voices Nagi. Gakuto Kajiwara and Saori Hayami round out the main cast as Naozumi and Touko Kurosaka.
Tank Chair is produced by Polygon Pictures, with Tadahiro Yoshihira and Hiroaki Ando directing and writing the script. Yūki Moriyama designs the characters and Masaru Yokoyama composes the music. The manga began in 2022 and has sold over 1 million copies worldwide, with 10 compiled volumes as of March 2026; Kodansha USA publishes the English version. That anime is set to premiere in fall 2026. Both productions have Fujidera in a sibling role within an ensemble, and no other shared credits connect the two.
