The Failure at God School Manga Gets TV Anime Adaptation
A new official website opened on Friday to announce that The Failure at God School, the manga written by Natsu Hyuga and drawn by Modomu Akagawara, is getting a television anime. The site posted a teaser visual, and Akagawara shared a commemorative illustration through the anime's X account. Yen Press publishes the manga in English. The story is set in a modern Japan where people with supernatural abilities can be licensed to serve as gods at shrines, and it follows Nagi, a high schooler who enrolls at a school that trains future gods after discovering powers of her own. Hyuga and Akagawara launched the manga in Hakusensha's Hana to Yume magazine in August 2021. Hakusensha published the 15th compiled volume on Friday, the same day as the announcement. A novel adaptation began in January 2022, and Star Seas Company released the novels' fifth volume in Japan on May 27. Both creators issued comments. Hyuga wrote that readers will see Nagi, Takeru, Tsukuyomi and Tota move and speak, and Akagawara said she is looking forward to seeing the characters come to life.
