Natsuki Hanae voices an alien in the Sgt. Frog 20th anniversary film, which opened in Japan on June 26, and has been announced for roles in the So What's Wrong with Getting Reborn as a Goblin? anime premiering in October and in The Cat and the Dragon. His support viewing guide for Chainsaw Man: Reze Arc was released on September 20, tied to the film's Prime Video streaming launch.
Hanae's 2026 is a run of supporting and guest roles across established franchises and new adaptations. The Sgt. Frog 20th anniversary film, which opened in Japan on June 26, lists him among seven additional guest voice cast members as an alien. That production is separate from the new Sgt. Frog television anime with a brand-new cast that will debut in fall 2026, so his appearance belongs to the legacy film side of the franchise.
Two other announcements place him in broadcast anime. The So What's Wrong with Getting Reborn as a Goblin? anime added Hanae, Hiro Shimono, and Yukari Tamura to its cast, with the series premiering in October. The Cat and the Dragon anime confirmed a June 27 streaming debut on d Anime Store and ABEMA in Japan, one week before its television broadcast; his role is not specified in that announcement.
The most recent story is a marketing item rather than a casting one. Chainsaw Man: Reze Arc began unlimited streaming on Prime Video on September 19. On September 20, a support viewing guide video by Hanae, the voice of Beam, was released, outlining four ways to enjoy the film at home. From September 21 to September 27, Shinjuku Station Metro Promenade hosts a rental video store-style advertisement with VHS cases of the film and 30 selected shark movies.
Coverage also includes older franchise work. The Disastrous Life of Saiki K. marked its 10th anniversary with free streaming of the non-credit opening videos for seasons one and two on the ShoPro Channel YouTube channel and fan voting for top episodes. In Uso Tantei Tomanto, Hanae voices the ace detective Lemonade in the updated version, which began airing weekly on NTV's ZIP! program on March 30.
