NTE: Neverness to Everness, the open-world RPG from Perfect World Games, is in a period of rapid content expansion. The game's Ver.1.2 update introduced new playable characters Shinku and Irohi, with Irohi's pickup running from July 29. Irohi is a healer whose ability turns downed allies into controllable sheep, a mechanic that bends the standard rule that downed characters are out of the fight. The Ver.1.2 update also added the limited-time One-Shot Bid auction minigame, which has drawn strong reactions and calls from players for it to become permanent.

Limited-time events have become a defining feature. The 'Explosive Fishing Operation' event, launched August 3, lets players rapidly consume city stamina, drawing praise as a 'god event' for shortening weekly tasks. A two-day pop-up event, Meeme Village's Great Adventure, ran in Ikebukuro on August 8 and 9, with entry restrictions imposed within an hour of opening due to crowd levels.

The Ver.1.3 update, 'Fog Moon Night, Stars Return,' was previewed on August 8 and is scheduled for August 19. It adds two new playable characters: Zan Hong, a former enemy from the Scarlet Letter organization, and Linko, an E.T.D 6th Squad member. The update concludes the main story's final battle against Madame T in the 'Nest of Fog' area, opens the vast 'Star Twilight Sanctuary' driving region, and adds beach volleyball as 2-on-2 PvE content. New vehicles include a jet ski, buggy, and bicycle. The update also introduces a survivor-like event called 'Orbital Break.'
