Love Live! Orchestra Concert Set for January 2027 with μ's Guest Vocals

The LoveLive! Orchestra Concert will be held on January 10 and 11, 2027 at Chiba Prefectural Culture Hall, with Grand Philharmonic Tokyo performing. Guest vocals from μ's are scheduled to feature Emi Nitta, Aya Uchida, Pile, Riho Iida, and Aina Kusuda. The earliest advance ticket lottery opens at 10:00 on September 26. The January 11 date is listed in two parts, day and night.

Idea Factory Launches IFChronicle Brand, Reveals ICONOLOGY

Idea Factory announced on September 30, 2026 that it has established a new brand, IFChronicle, which is focused on conversation-based adventure games and is planned as a global label rather than a domestic one. The first title from the brand is ICONOLOGY, a crime suspense adventure game for Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch Lite, and PC via Steam. Character design is by Teita, whose credits include Fate/Grand Order and Charade Maniacs, and the scenario is by Makoto Fukami, who has written for the PSYCHO-PASS anime series and the Resident Evil: Vendetta and Resident Evil: Death Island films. Director is Asami Saito. The protagonist, art university student Haruho Tsubakiya, is scouted by the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department's Advanced Technology Investigation Division, nicknamed Sentoka. She uses a device called the White Cube, which extracts images from a suspect's brain as paintings, to work unsolved cases with a partner. Release date and price are undecided.

Villion:Code Heads West In 2027 On Switch 2, Switch, PS5, PS4, And Steam

Idea Factory International will release Compile Heart's school RPG Villion:Code in the West in 2027 for Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC via Steam. The game launched in Japan on June 25. Kōji Okada is planning producer, with Tadashi Satomi as scenario writer and Ilya Kuvshinov as character designer, and FRAM performs both theme songs.

Dogpile Roguelike Deck Builder Launches for Switch 2, Switch, and Mobile

Studio Folly and Toot Games released Dogpile for Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android on August 20, 2026. The mobile versions offer a free try-before-you-buy edition, with a single purchase unlocking the full game. The price is 1,200 yen including tax. Dogpile is a roguelike deck builder where players merge dogs of the same type to create larger dogs. Each dog has its own shape and personality, and placement in the yard matters. The game includes more than 100 dog tags and traits that create personality synergy effects, enabling varied builds. Over 15 types of dogs appear. The console and mobile versions have been fully redesigned by hand for easier play on the go. The PC version, released on December 11, 2025, holds an Overwhelmingly Positive rating on Steam, with 96% of 687 reviews favorable as of August 21, 2026. Developer Studio Folly cites Suika Game and Balatro as inspirations, blending the merging mechanic of the former with the card synergy and deck-building strategy of the latter. The port includes all PC content and adds new Japanese localization.

Dustpile App Lets Steam Users Swipe Through Their Backlog Like a Dating App

Indie developer Tolga Coşkun released Dustpile, a free web app that lets Steam users sort their unplayed games by swiping left or right, similar to Tinder. The app pulls from a user's Steam library or wishlist and shows game info like release date and average completion time to help decide what to play next.

Villion:Code Launches With Veteran Megami Tensei, Persona Staff

Compile Heart released Villion:Code on June 24 for Nintendo Switch 2, Switch, and PS4. The school RPG features real-time combat and a story about environmental collapse and social issues. It reunites Megami Tensei creator Kouji Okada, early Persona writer Naoki Satomi, and composer Tsukasa Masuko.
