Clicky Islands Brings City-Building and Incremental Gameplay to Steam in 2026
Pocketpair Publishing announced on July 24, 2026, that it will publish Clicky Islands, a city-building simulation and incremental game hybrid developed by Polish indie studio Karrot Games. The game is set to launch on Steam sometime in 2026, and a demo is available now. Players take the role of a governor appointed by a king, traveling to procedurally generated islands to gather resources by clicking, then hiring residents to automate collection and development. Growth elements include a skill tree unlocked through repeated play, artifacts with special effects that can be found by exploring ancient ruins and crushing fossils at a researcher's workbench, and a perk system where fame earned on one island carries over to the next. The game has no time limits or sudden operations, allowing players to progress at their own pace. It will also be exhibited at ChinaJoy 2026 in Shanghai from July 31 to August 3, and now supports Simplified and Traditional Chinese.
