Otherwhere has opened pre-orders for 1/6 scale figures of angel and demon characters Shino and Aimu, based on illustrations by RIKO. The figures are available individually or as a set at AmiAmi, priced at 19,800 yen each or for the pair, with release scheduled for April 2027.

A special video titled 'PLUS ULTRA MOVIE "You Can Be a Hero"' has been released for the My Hero Academia anime's 10th anniversary. The video traces Izuku Midoriya's journey from his childhood encounter with All Might to becoming the greatest hero, set to the iconic track 'You Say Run.' New animation cuts were created for the project.
HoYoverse announced on June 16 that it will stream the "Genshin Impact Luna VIII Preview Program" on June 18 at 21:00 JST. The program will feature voice actors Mariko Honda, who voices Sandrone, and Lynn, who voices Columbina, as guests. The announcement thumbnail shows Sandrone and Columbina against a background that appears to be Fontaine, and also previews new costumes for the characters Charlotte and Citlali. The broadcast will air on Thursday, a departure from the usual Friday schedule for these preview programs. The Luna VIII update is the next major version before a significant update, and past previews before major updates have introduced limited-time maps such as the Golden Apple Archipelago and Veluriyam Mirage, as well as new costumes. The program will be streamed on the official Genshin Impact YouTube channel and official X account. Genshin Impact is available on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, iOS, and Android as a free-to-play title with in-app purchases.
Union Creative is producing a figure of Yuzuki Riko, the female form of To Love-Ru Darkness protagonist Rito Yuuki. The 28cm painted finished figure is priced at 19,800 yen and ships in December 2026. The sculptor is Akabeko and the painter is Nana Moriyama.
Fanfare / Ponent Mon will reprint several manga by the late Jiro Taniguchi, including The Summit of the Gods, as well as Hideo Azuma's Disappearance Diary and Kiriko Nananan's Blue. The Summit of the Gods reprint arrives in July 2026 to mark the Everest ascent anniversary; other reprints follow later this year.
The official website for the Magilumiere Magical Girls Inc. anime released the first promotional video for its second season on May 26, 2026, announcing a July 4 premiere on NTV in Japan. The video previews the ending theme song "BooooM!!!" performed by VTuber Marine Houshou. Two new cast members were revealed: Sayumi Watanabe joins as Iroha Akasaka, and Mariko Higashiuchi takes over the role of Hitomi Koshigaya, replacing Yumiri Hanamori, who stepped down. The season introduces several new staff members, including assistant director Hiroyasu Oda, sound director Yoshikazu Iwanami, and art director Shun Yoshii. Toshinori Fukushima directs the season at J.C.Staff, replacing first-season director Masahiro Hiraoka. Michiko Yokote handles series composition and scripts, while Masahiro Fujii returns as character designer and Makoto Miyazaki returns as composer. The first season aired from October to December 2024, and the manga by Sekka Iwata and Yu Aoki concluded in July 2025 with 160 chapters.
Ririko Tsujita's one-shot manga 'To what lady Amane says.' will become a serialized series in Hakusensha's LaLa magazine starting June 24. The story follows Amane Hoshino, a first-year middle school student from a wealthy family who hides a secret side. Tsujita previously created the 'Koi da no Ai da no' sequel manga.
Chukyo TV announced a live-action television adaptation of Keiko Suenobu's Ochitara Owari manga, premiering July 1 on Chukyo TV, NTV, and affiliates. Former AKB-48 member Mariko Shinoda and announcer Misato Ugaki star. Taeko Asano writes the scripts.
The organizers of the My Hero Academia 10th anniversary screening series have announced the second and third sessions of the Character Matchup Famous Episode Screenings. The second session, on August 1, focuses on Izuku Midoriya and Katsuki Bakugo. The third session, on August 2, focuses on Midoriya and Tomura Shigaraki. Both sessions will include stage greetings with voice actors. Daiki Yamashita (Midoriya) will appear at both, joined by Nobuhiko Okamoto (Bakugo) on August 1 and Kouki Uchiyama (Shigaraki) on August 2. The events will also screen the short anime I Am a Hero Too, based on a one-shot manga by Kohei Horikoshi from the fanbook My Hero Academia Ultra Age. The short follows a high school-aged Eri visiting UA. It premieres at Anime Expo 2026 in Los Angeles in July, then screens at the August 1 and 2 events, and streams on various platforms from August 3. The first session, held May 16, covered Ochaco Uraraka and Himiko Toga.
