Jagex Reveals RuneScape 4 at RuneFest 2026 Alongside Roadmaps for Every Live Title
RuneFest 2026 closed with Jagex announcing RS4, a new fourth-generation MMORPG built on Unreal Engine. It is set on the continent of Ashenfall in the Sixth Age, several years after RuneScape: Dragonwilds, and sits alongside RuneScape, Old School RuneScape, and Dragonwilds rather than replacing them. The team calls it early, with years of work left and system details due in 2027. Roadmaps for the live games were also presented.
