Players take the role of a Producer at 315 Production and work with 49 idols across 16 units in what the announcement calls an idol producing and scheduling adventure. The story shares the worldview of the SideM brand page on The Idolmaster portal site but is a new story written for the game, following the idols toward a large-scale live concert one year away. At the start, the player picks one of the 16 units as the leader unit for that concert, and the story and conversations change depending on the choice. The concert concept is MMM.

Blizzard Entertainment announced at BlizzCon 2026 in Anaheim that Diablo IV: Age of Hatred Collection will release on September 15, 2026, with a Japanese release on September 16. The package includes the base game, the Vessel of Hatred and Lord of Hatred expansions, and supports Japanese. The Switch 2 version supports crossplay and cross-progression, requires an internet connection and a Battle.net account, and ships in code-in-box format.

Blizzard Entertainment announced World of Warcraft: Forever at its community event BlizzCon2026. The team behind WoW: Classic is developing it, and it becomes the third World of Warcraft experience alongside Modern and Classic. It adds three zones, more than 1,000 quests, nine dungeons, two raids, and the new race Skyborn. Release is scheduled for November 4, with a beta starting September 17. Access comes with a World of Warcraft subscription.

The layout starts at an opening and moves through game locations including the Ruins and Toriel's House, with exhibits tied to each area. Cover Corporation will open the "hololive production official pop up shop" at Ikebukuro PACKS from Saturday, October 3, 2026, with cooperative operation by MOVIC Co., Ltd. The tour covers Tokyo, Nagoya, Fukuoka, Osaka, and Sapporo, beginning with Ikebukuro through Sunday, November 1, 2026. Nagoya runs Friday, November 6 to Monday, November 23, 2026. Fukuoka follows Friday, December 11 to Sunday, December 20, 2026, Osaka Saturday, January 9 to Sunday, January 17, 2027, and Sapporo Friday, March 19 to Sunday, March 28, 2027. Original merchandise based on newly drawn bus guide visuals will be sold, with regional products: Tokyo carries three talents, and each later city carries two. Crunchyroll has acquired the anime feature film Witch on the Holy Night and will release it in theaters in the United States and Canada on January 29, 2027. The film is animated by ufotable and distributed by Crunchyroll with Sony Pictures Entertainment. It adapts the 2012 visual novel written by Kinoko Nasu and developed by Type-Moon. The story follows Aoko Aozaki, a high school student who is an apprentice Magician, and her housemate Alice Kuonji. Screenings will be offered in Japanese with English subtitles and in an English dub. The international rollout opens earlier in Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates on January 21, then moves through Austria, Germany, and German-speaking Switzerland on January 26, France, Belgium, and French-speaking Switzerland on January 27, and a larger group of markets including Mexico, Brazil, Italy, Australia, and New Zealand on January 28. The United Kingdom, Ireland, Finland, Poland, Sweden, and India join the January 29 date, with Spain and Kazakhstan on February 5.

Kachou Fuugetsu, the five-member idol group from the fan-participation IP project IDOL:UnderCode, holds its first fan meeting on October 18, 2026 at Karaoke Manekineko Shibuya Main Store. Mind Creations renamed its SCP-inspired artifact investigation game from Anomaly Control Simulator to Anomaly Inspector Simulator. The change follows talks with Remedy Entertainment, whose CONTROL series inspired the game; CONTROL Resonant is set for September 24. In the game, the player is an employee of a secret bureau that manages anomalies and investigates objects that break the laws of physics, logic, and reality. It is planned for PC via Steam.

Sony Interactive Entertainment will open advance trial reservations for PlayStation Plus subscribers on September 10, ahead of Tokyo Game Show 2026 at Makuhari Messe from September 17 to 21. Reservations, first-come and running until September 16 at 23:59, cover public days only and include Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance, FINAL FANTASY VII REVELATION, Marvel's Wolverine, and ACE COMBAT 8: WINGS OF THEVE. The PlayStation booth also hosts a Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look theater, screening the new trailer on a 300-inch screen, with floor haptics that vibrate in sync with the video and sound.
