Samurai Kobo appears in the record as a partner in the Xross Stars trading card game, a joint project with Game & Co. The game launched on August 22, 2025, and now marks its first anniversary. A pop-up store runs September 18 to 29, 2026, at SHIBUYA TSUTAYA, featuring a memorial gallery, a random card draw experience, and a 3D card gate photo spot. The 1st Anniv. Collection PREMIUM SET includes 65 cards with newly drawn illustrations. The game's competitive scene is active: the third Xross Stars Challengers Cup 2026#03 OSAKA drew over 2,000 entrants, and Booster Pack 5 "Ignition Vortex" is scheduled for October 30, 2026.

Samurai Kobo's animation side is tied to The Elusive Samurai Season 2, which premiered on July 17, 2026, on Fuji TV's Noitamina block. Production is handled by CloverWorks, with director Yuta Yamazaki and character designer Yasushi Nishiya returning. The season streams on Crunchyroll and gets same-day streaming on Prime Video. A Nijimen survey ranked it the most anticipated anime of summer 2026. The season has spawned merchandise: a pop-up shop at Yurakucho Marui and Namba Marui sells four-seasons themed goods.

Coverage of Samurai Kobo is uneven. Most stories focus on its games or on The Elusive Samurai, and the studio itself is rarely the subject. The Xross Stars art book, "Xross Stars ART COLLECTION II," releases September 16, 2026, with over 220 illustrations from two booster packs, continuing the game's visual investment.
