Shueisha is listing a novel for Ippon Takegushi and Santa Mitarashi's Shinobi Undercover manga, titled Shinobigoto A Day in the Life Birds, with a release date of September 4. Kiyoko Hoshi is writing the novel. The manga launched in Weekly Shonen Jump in September 2024, and its ninth compiled volume is also due September 4.

Automaton's 93rd weekly roundup collects seven game introduction articles that drew strong reader response. The lead is Super Mario Sunshine arriving on Nintendo Switch 2 via Nintendo Classics on August 13. The rest of the week covers Tidy Up Together on August 14, a new Senran Kagura sequel, the raft survival game SHORE, the monster-attack PvPvE BeastLink in early access on August 18, the extraction souls-like Mistfall Hunter, and Machine Party from the Buckshot Roulette creator.

Toei Tokusatsu Fan Club announced on July 29 that it will produce and stream the final episode of Kamen Rider Shinobi. Masuyoshi Tawada returns as the lead, Kagura Rentaro. The announcement came during a Ninninger anniversary event at Theater G-Rosso in Tokyo Dome City.

Marvelous and its subsidiary Honey∞Parade Games announced the title and a promotional video for their previously revealed new Senran Kagura smartphone game on Friday. The game is titled Shinobi Nexus: Senran Kagura and is scheduled to launch this year for iOS, Android, and PC via DMM Games. Pre-registration is currently open for DMM Games and the App Store, with Google Play registration expected in the coming days. The game is described as a "hyper shinobi battle" title featuring character designs by Nan Yaegashi. It will be free to play with optional paid in-game items. The story is set three years after the events of the previous mobile game, Shinobi Master Senran Kagura New Link, and introduces a new cast of shinobi girls at a new school. Shinobi Master Senran Kagura New Link launched in November 2017 and ended service in May 2025, transitioning to an offline version. Marvelous established Honey∞Parade Games in May 2017 to focus on the Senran Kagura series. The latest console entry in the franchise is the crossover with Compile Heart's Hyperdimension Neptunia, titled Neptunia x Senran Kagura: Ninja Wars, which launched in October 2021 for PlayStation 4, followed by Switch and PC releases in 2022.

HONEY∞PARADE GAMES announced Shinobi NEXUS -Senran Kagura- on July 31, a new entry in the Senran Kagura series for iOS, Android, and PC. The game is set three years after Shinobi Master Senran Kagura NEW LINK and follows new shinobi girls designed by series illustrator Minami Yaegashi. It combines a command RPG with ninja arts in what the developer calls hyper shinobi battles, rendered in cel-look 3D. The usual dress-up, communication, and diorama features return in a mashed-up form. Pre-registration opened the same day on the App Store and DMM GAMES, with Google Play scheduled to start soon. A DMM GAMES campaign offers a total of 300,000 yen worth of DMM points via lottery, tied to a click-based mini-game about training shinobi girls. The announcement came during the HONEY∞PARADE GAMES Special Program 2026! 81 Day Special! stream. The official website, X account, and YouTube channel are now live, and a title announcement PV has been released. The game is scheduled for distribution within 2026.

Sega announced that Shinobi: Art of Vengeance will launch on Nintendo Switch 2 on September 24. The game originally released on other platforms in August 2025. A Deluxe Edition for Switch 2 includes the Sega Villains Stage DLC, which adds bosses from Golden Axe, Yakuza, and Sonic the Hedgehog.

Sega announced on June 19 that the Nintendo Switch 2 version of "SHINOBI: Revenge's Slash" will be released on September 24, 2026. The standard edition costs 3,300 yen, while a Digital Deluxe Edition bundling all downloadable content, a digital art book, and soundtrack is priced at 4,400 yen. The physical edition uses a key card format requiring an internet connection and at least 12GB of free space. The Switch 2 version improves handheld resolution to 1080p for sharper visuals. Save data from the original Nintendo Switch version can be transferred, but there is no upgrade path; Switch owners must buy the new version separately. The game is a new entry in Sega's Shinobi series, developed jointly by Lizardcube and Sega. It follows ninja Joe Musashi as he seeks revenge against the armed organization ENE Corporation. The original Shinobi series debuted as an arcade game in 1987, and this is the first new entry in 14 years since 2011's "Shinobi 3D." The game was released for PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, PS4, and Xbox One in August 2025, and was nominated for Best Action Game at The Game Awards 2025.
