Danganronpa Creator Jokes GTA 6 Delay Is His Fault

Super Danganronpa 2×2 was delayed from 2026 to early 2027. At Anime Expo 2026, producer Shohei Sakakibara and creator Kazutaka Kodaka discussed the delay with Crunchyroll. Kodaka joked that playing GTA 6 leaves no time for making games, a quip he repeated on X. The new Kyoki Mode adds about 20 percent more content.

Super Danganronpa 2×2 Delayed to Early 2027

Spike Chunsoft announced on July 4 that Super Danganronpa 2×2, a remake of Super Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair Academy with new scenarios, has been delayed from its planned 2026 release to early 2027. Producer Shohei Sakakibara said the game is in active development and asked fans to await further updates.
