The Mandalorian

The Mandalorian franchise has expanded into a theatrical feature film titled 'Star Wars: The Mandalorian & Grogu,' which opened in Japanese theaters and has held the number one position at the weekend box office for three consecutive weeks as of June 7, 2026. The film surpassed 2 billion yen in cumulative box office revenue by its third weekend, with 243,000 admissions and 425 million yen earned in its second weekend alone.

Merchandise tied to the franchise continues to roll out. Medicom Toy announced a MAFEX action figure of Bo-Katan Kryze based on her Season 3 appearance, standing 15 cm tall and including the Dark Saber, three head parts, two blaster pistols, a whipcord effect, and jetpack flame effects. The figure is scheduled for release in March 2027 at 14,080 yen. Takara Tomy released a Tomica Premium Unlimited die-cast model of the Razor Crest, the ship central to the Mandalorian story, priced at 1,430 yen and available through the Takara Tomy Mall and other retailers.

The box office performance and new merchandise indicate sustained commercial interest in the franchise following the transition from streaming series to theatrical release. The Bo-Katan figure and Razor Crest model both draw directly from elements established in the series, connecting the film's momentum to the show's existing fan base.
