The Tenth Mosaic Game Culture Festival Sets September Dates
The Institut francais du Japon will host The Tenth Mosaic, a two-day game culture festival, on September 22 and 23, 2026, at the Tokyo France Institute in Shinjuku Ward. The event, planned by Archipel, is themed around games as the 'tenth art' in the West and includes creator talks, exhibitions, music performances, workshops, and live drawing. French developers Frederic Raynal of Alone in the Dark and Eric Chahi of Another World are invited guests. Raynal joins a horror roundtable with Keiichiro Toyama, Makoto Shibata, and Hifumi Kono, creators of Silent Hill, Fatal Frame, and Clock Tower. Chahi will converse with Fumito Ueda of ICO and Shadow of the Colossus. The schedule also includes a lecture by Tetsuya Mizuguchi on the 25th anniversary of Rez, a talk between Yoko Taro and Keisuke Okabe, and a Persona 30th anniversary roundtable with Katsura Hashino, Shigenori Soejima, and Shoji Meguro. Shuhei Yoshida curates an Indie Legacy Showcase with over 15 titles, and illustrator Katsuya Terada will draw live across both days. Festival admission is 2,000 yen; talk session tickets are 3,000 yen.
