Uncle's Obsession with Cute Things is an anime adaptation of a manga by Tsutomu. Crunchyroll announced during AnimagiC in Germany that it would stream the series, one of six titles on a slate that also includes Eleceed, FX Fighter Kurumi-chan, Shangri-La Frontier season 3, The Iceblade Sorcerer Shall Rule the World II, and The Laid-Off Cheat-Granting Mage Enjoys a Second Lease on Life. That announcement placed the show on October 4, alongside Eleceed's move to early 2027 for the rest of the slate.
The September 2026 update added four cast members and named the theme song performers. Yusei Yagi performs the opening theme "LIKE3." Kaori Maeda, who voices Rio Shigeoka, performs the ending theme "Totoi♡Kaiwai." The show premieres on Tokyo MX on October 4, with Crunchyroll handling streaming.
Between the two announcements, the cast and music lineup moved from partial to complete ahead of the October premiere. Coverage has centered on the rollout of production details: first the streaming pickup and premiere date, then the final casting and theme song assignments. No further production updates have followed since September 7.
