Kadokawa announced on October 1, 2026 that its Creator Support Program has entered a partnership with XING's Karaoke JOYSOUND for STREAMER. Creators using CSP, whether individuals or corporate-affiliated, will be able to use the karaoke service's higher-tier plans at a special price. Those plans carry a larger song lineup and support monetization. CSP has worked on projects that used the karaoke service before, including December 2025's Challenge to the World's No. 1 Singing Stream Relay and the 2026 regular program Virtual Utajiman. Karaoke JOYSOUND for STREAMER supports singing covers and singing streams on YouTube, Twitch, Niconico Douga, and TikTok LIVE. It gives access to more than 40,000 songs and starts at 3,500 yen including tax for 30 days. CSP launched in March 2022. Its participating channels number more than 780, with cumulative subscribers above 68 million as of March 2026.

During the Nintendo Direct broadcast on September 9, 2026, Imagineer announced a collaboration between its exercise game series Fit Boxing and the sword training simulation Touken Ranbu ONLINE. The new title, Fit Boxing Touken Ranbu -Shutsujin! Exercise Honmaru-, is scheduled for release on January 15, 2027, for Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. Players exercise alongside six sword warriors who appear as 3D instructors, including Mikazuki Munechika, Oodachi Yasusada, and Tsurumaru Kuninaga. The game includes a Nito Kenbu Mode that lets players train with two sword warriors at once. Continuing exercise unlocks daily episodes in which players communicate with the characters. The Fit Boxing series has previously released collaboration titles such as Fit Boxing Fist of the North Star and Fit Boxing feat. Hatsune Miku. Touken Ranbu content had appeared in Fit Boxing 2 only as BGM DLC from the anime Touken Ranbu -Hanamaru-, making this the first full collaboration between the two franchises. The announcement was part of the Nintendo Direct 2026.9.9 showcase.

Persis Play announced Your Cozy Unboxing on August 18 for PC via Steam. The simulation game casts the player as a social media creator who opens mystery boxes, collects items, decorates a room, and posts photos to an in-game SNS to earn revenue. The unboxing process itself is the core gameplay, with tools like knives, lockpicks, and screwdrivers.

KADOKAWA and EXING will run the online streaming event #CSP歌枠バトル Powered by カラオケJOYSOUND for STREAMER from August 12 to August 25, 2026. A total of 84 creators using the CSP program will compete in daily live streams using the JOYSOUND karaoke service's scoring function for the highest score, the Best Singing Award, and a commercial slot at JOYSOUND locations nationwide.

Toei Animation established Eterna Animation in 2025 as an in-house production brand for original IP development. Its first production, the short film Foxing: Kitsuné-tsuki, premiered at the Fantasia International Film Festival in Montreal. Director Takeru Shinozuka, a veteran animator, makes his directorial debut with the film.

Imagineer released Fit Boxing 3 -Your Personal Trainer- Nintendo Switch 2 Edition on July 16, 2026. The upgraded version adds an advanced judgment mode, boost up, camera play, and local communication versus play. The developer discussed the series' history and the new features in an interview with 4Gamer.net.

Gravity Game Arise announced the final 12 titles for Jaleco Arcade Collection Vol. 1 and Vol. 2 on August 6, 2026, completing the full 32-title lineup. The most notable addition is Chimera Beast, a side-scrolling shooter that never received a commercial release and appears here for the first time. In the game, the player evolves their body by eating enemies, with the evolution path changing based on which prey is consumed. Vol. 1 gains six titles: P-47 ACES, a 1995 shooter featuring real fighter planes; 64th Street, a 1991 belt-scrolling action game set in 1930s Chicago; Best Bout Boxing, a 1990 versus boxing game; Baltrilick, a 1986 sci-fi tank action game; Pinbo, a 1984 video pinball game; and Chameleon, a 1983 fixed-screen action game. Vol. 2 adds Big Run, a 1989 3D racing game; Psychic 5, a 1987 exploration action game; Second Earth Gratia, a 1996 sci-fi shooter; Chimera Beast; Exerizer, a 1987 sequel-like title to Exerion; and Kick Off, a 1988 arcade soccer game. Both volumes are planned for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam, with release dates and prices to be announced. A playable demo will be available at Tokyo Game Dungeon 13 on August 8, 2026, where attendees can receive a half-cut sticker.

Imagina released the Switch 2 version of the boxing exercise game today. It adds Camera Play, Share Play Battle for up to four players, Boost Up Mode with a BPM of 200, and Advanced Judgment Mode. A video featuring KENN and Hikaru Midorikawa introduces the new features. The Ensemble Stars!! Pack DLC offers seven BGM tracks and six T-shirts, with a free trial of two songs until August 17.

Imagineer released Fit Boxing 3 -Your Personal Trainer Nintendo Switch 2 Edition on July 16. The Switch 2 version adds camera play for form checking via USB camera, local wireless multiplayer for up to four players, a boost up mode that increases BPM to 200, and an advance judgment mode for detailed timing and speed evaluation. Owners of the original Switch version can upgrade for 1,100 yen. A special video with KENN and Hikaru Midorikawa was also released.

Imagineer revealed details of a user-participation X campaign for the Fit Boxing 3 Ensemble Stars!! DLC pack. Starting July 16, members of the shuffle unit Butokai will appear as SNS-exclusive instructors on the official Fit Boxing X account. The campaign presents specific in-game menus as missions. Daily lottery gives 10 winners a collaboration package. The DLC includes instrumental BGM of seven songs and six T-shirt designs for 1,320 yen. A free trial pack for two songs is also available until August 17.

Toei Animation's Eterna Animation brand short film FOXING: Kitsuné-tsuki will screen at three festivals, including a competition slot at Fantasia IFF for the Satoshi Kon Award for Excellence in Animation. The film follows character designer Shinano as she encounters her discarded creations. Takeru Shinozuka makes his commercial directorial debut, writing and designing the characters. The short also screens at Indy Shorts Film Festival and RIFFA. Eterna Animation launched this year for Toei's 70th anniversary, focusing on original works.

A paid add-on for Fitness Boxing 3: Your Personal Trainer will add seven instrumental arrangements of Ensemble Stars!! songs, plus six T-shirt costumes for instructors. The pack costs 1,320 yen and launches July 16. A free trial pack with two songs will also be available from the same day.

Imagineer released the paid DLC "Medarot Greatest Hits" Pack for Fit Boxing 3 on June 25, 2026. The 1,100 yen pack includes five arranged BGM tracks and three T-shirt costumes themed after the Medarot series. The content also works with the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 Edition.
