Takara Tomy Opens Pre-Orders for Dinobot Island Part 2 Two-Figure Set
The set is sold as half of a two-part Dinobot release, since the promised team scenes need Grimlock from the separately sold part1, so the line's value depends on buyers committing to both boxes.

Takara Tomy's Dramatic Capture Series adds Dinobot Island part2, a two-figure set of Slag and Sludge. Slag converts between robot and mechanical Triceratops, Sludge between robot and mechanical Brontosaurus. Both carry a metallic premium finish based on the show's coloring, and the set ships with swords, a rifle, a blaster, a back part, and effect parts for the flame-throwing scene. Pre-orders open Friday, October 2, 2026, with release scheduled for late March 2027 at 19,800 yen.
The set is pitched as a companion piece rather than a standalone one. Its own product text points buyers to Grimlock from the separately sold Dinobot Island part1 to build out team scenes, which puts the two releases on a shared purchase. The figures are fully transforming and poseable, sized at roughly 230mm for Slag and 205mm for Sludge, with target age 15 and up. Effect parts for the flame-throwing scene from the show are included for both.
